23a: The Heney Bitless Horse Class
1. Ridden Horses 5 years & over, exceeding 14hh. Riders 18 years & over.
2. Equipment and Attire: Any genre of saddle.Hard hats compulsory.
3. No bits.No mechanical hackamores.No bridles relying primarily on poll pressure. No Spurs.
4. Permitted equipment includes side pulls, bosals, rope halters, & mecates.
5.No draw reins, standing martingales, tie-downs, or auxiliary devices that restrict the horse’s natural head and neck position
Show Horse & Pony Rules All horse exhibitors must be onsite prior to 10am on show day
- The Iverk show will endeavour to keep to the listed times. The show or its stewards will not be responsible if classes do not start at the allotted times for whatever reasons.
- Please be aware of pedestrian traffic at all times while moving horses through the show field.
- 15 minute lunch break for judges and stewards
- Late entries will incur an additional fee of €5.00

Ring 3 - Judging Starts 10.00 a.m. Sharp
No entries permitted on day of event.
Show class. Walk and trot only in the group phase. Horses will not be ridden by the judge. Each rider will perform a short individual demonstration (1–1½ minutes). Canter is optional and not required. Lateral movements, rein-back, and transitions in the individual demo are welcome but not compulsory.
Judging Priorities: Relaxation and confidence. Sound, free, and regular movement. Partnership and sympathetic horsemanship. Correct self-carriage, with the horse travelling comfortably in front of or at the vertical. Good conformation and condition. Lightness and willingness. Manners and safety. Poll should be higher than withers.
The judge will penalise: Obvious tension or conflict behaviours.
Ten horse books awarded as special prizes.
