One of the most popular areas of the Iverk Show in recent years is the ‘Flower Arranging’ section. Developed by Mauney Doyle and Mary Ryan the magnificent creations by exhibitors using their imagination are beyond fantastic.
The colours and the aroma would just knock one out. And the good news is that Mauney and Mary are delighted to be back again this year. They are looking forward very much to meeting their flower arranging friends again and of course making many new ones too.
In our catalogue this year we are encouraging our entrants to use your lovely garden flowers and foliage. In class 3 we are encouraging you to be very creative without using oasis – now there is a challenge if ever there was one! The theme is ‘Textured Door Wreath for Any Occasion’.
For the novice arranger – those who have not won more than three first prizes at an open show – class 1 with the theme ‘How Does Your Garden Grow’ will certainly exercise your imagination.
The other class themes are ‘Keep It Simple’, ‘Stepping Out’ and ‘Cake Topper’.
The Children’s section is always a big attraction. There are two classes namely ‘Miniature Garden’ and ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. I love this latter class because the creations just blow your mind. Imagine, animals made from fruit and vegetables. The miniature gardens too are always spectacular.
