How are your fruit and vegetables looking? Will they be ready for the 26th?
I think this promises to be a good year for them as we have had a very good summer so far. We expect entries to be up on last year.
Now is the time to start looking at what you have got and select some potential winners. Of course all may change in the next couple of weeks
As usual we have a large range of classes on offer turnips, onions, beans, carrots, parsnips, cauliflower, marrow, peas and more. The collection of a number of different kinds is great.
The entries in the fruit classes are not as good as they used to be. In days gone by there were a lot of orchards in the area.
The novelty section always brings out fierce competition between competitors. Who has the biggest pumpkin or onion? Will it be bigger than last year? The only way to find out is to enter yours.
Have a go – see you on the 26th
